Hello, everyone!
Happy New Year! Thank you all for supporting Pacifica in 2023. 2024 will be my eighth year of creating and posting Pacifica on www.pacificacomic.com! Many exciting things will be happening.
First of all, I have been invited along with some other local comic creators, Liz Valasco, Peter Hoey, and Solomon Clark, to help in planning a comic con for local creators! Things are in the early planning stages right now, but I’m told the target is sometime around May, so keep watching for more info on that. This is something I’ve been wanting to happen for a while! Please take the time to check out these other talented Humboldt County comic creators.
The second book of Pacifica, which was delayed due to many issues, is on track to be completed this year! Birds of a Feather will pick up where the last issue ended and introduce us to two new characters, Gale and Zephyr, who are two traveling jay-folk who happen upon the injured woodsman Gavin. Along with the new faces come new troubles. What are they? Well, you’ll just have to read the story to find out. You can start on that right here!
The Events page has been updated with appearances for the next three months and will be updated as more events are scheduled. If you want to meet the creator of the comic and get some signed books or other items then take a look at that page.
In addition to my art I also sell postcards with my photography from around Humboldt at local events. My Patreon and Ko-fi supporters can view larger previews of my current and new designs as well as the original shots I used to create them. I’m working on getting those into local shops as I’ve been told it’s hard to find Humboldt County branded postcards. Patreon and Ko-fi supporters get additional perks as well: early access to new pages, concept art, prose, and behind the scenes peeks for just $3. The support on these platforms helps me continue making the comic and new postcards.
